Welcome to St Joseph's Primary School Molong

St Joseph’s is a co-educational school community in the Catholic tradition, providing quality education catering for students from Kindergarten to Year Six.

Inspired by Saint Mary of the Cross MacKillop, our school works in partnership with parents and the Parish to nurture, proclaim and celebrate our Catholic faith and to meet the challenges and needs of our community.

Our school is situated in the rural town of Molong, located between Orange and Wellington in Central Western NSW and is one of eight villages in Cabonne Council. ‘Molong’ is derived from the Wiradjuri word meaning ‘Place of many rocks’.

We endeavour to live by the values of our school motto: Learning, Understanding and Peace. St. Joseph’s is distinguished by a great sense of belonging, where each person is valued and where learning is enjoyable.

As Indigenous and non-Indigenous people together, let us have a sense of the importance of the country upon which we are standing, where learning and ceremony have taken place over many thousands of years.

Let us sense the land beneath our feet and acknowledge to whom it belongs, the Wiradjuri people and pay our respects to their elders and all elders past, present and future.

For we too are one in land, one in spirit, one in faith, united in God’s love.
